CERTA Intelligence & Security A/S has strengthened its global presence with the establishment of a new subsidiary, CERTA Asia, and the opening of an office in Tokyo.
Founded in 2014 by former Director General of the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) Jakob Scharf, businessman Jakob Dreyer, and Lennart Lajboschitz, founder of the Tiger retail chain, CERTA is headquartered in Copenhagen and provides intelligence support and security consulting to private companies and organisations worldwide.
The launch of CERTA Asia reflects growing demand from clients with significant interests in the region, as well as increasing attention from Asian companies seeking CERTA’s services. In particular, demand for advisory and analytical support related to Asia—especially China—has risen sharply in recent years.
Since its founding, CERTA has experienced steady growth in assignments, revenue, and personnel. The company now employs more than 30 researchers, analysts, and advisors, supported by a network of external specialists with deep expertise across multiple sectors.
Madoka Kono, previously an analyst at CERTA Intelligence & Security, has been appointed Director of CERTA Asia. Based in Tokyo, she will lead the company’s regional operations and support clients across the Asian market.
The new office in Tokyo marks another step in CERTAs continued development and commitment to supporting customers across international markets.
